Design and supply of an HRSG for a textile plant in Mexico
By AITESA
Introduction
In 2013 the textile company located in San Martin Texmelucan (Mexico) began development of a project with the aim of decarbonizing its production process and reducing its operating costs.
Solution
Design and installation of a 5.6 MWt thermal oil economiser integrated with a forced circulation (water-tube type) boiler designed to generate 4.8 t/h of saturated steam at 8 bar, corresponding to a power of 3.2 MWt.
Scope of supply included the flue ducts, thermal oil tube bundle, steam boiler, water and steam piping, feed and recirculation pumps, control panel, PLC, field instrumentation and valves and fittings associated with the equipment package.
Additionally, AITESA was responsible for the assembly, commissioning and start-up of the boiler package.
Results
The successful implementation of the heat recovery project has not only managed to decarbonize the production process of this textile factory, but has also proven to be an outstanding model of energy efficiency and operating cost reduction, consolidating AITESA as a leader in innovative and sustainable solutions for the industry.
