As part of our vision for the future, we are actively strengthening our position in the field of industrial energy efficiency, working hand in hand with ANESE (National Association of Energy Services Companies). This strategic alliance is particularly relevant in the context of the new system of Energy Saving Certificates (CAEs), promoted by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO).

As part of a project aimed at reducing fossil fuel consumption and polluting emissions, a stainless steel condensation economizer consisting of four modules was installed to recover heat from the waste gases generated by one of the plant’s main atomizers.

This economizer, key to improving thermal efficiency, harnesses the heat of gases entering at 92 °C and leaving at 55 °C, transferring that energy to the water, which is then used to preheat the inlet air to atomizers. Thanks to its ability to operate below the dew point, it achieves an efficiency of 3005 kW.

The installation has led to a significant reduction in energy consumption and CO₂ emissions, while generating significant economic savings, improving the competitiveness and sustainability of the production process. This project, developed together with UMISA, stands out as an example of Aitesa ‘s commitment to energy efficiency and industrial innovation.
